Workshop at Droga Ikony "The Way of Icon"

I`m offering workshops for beginners and advanced students.
I`m open to all locations in UK, Poland and more. If you have a group of people up to 13 and would like to learn please contact me and we will talk about details.

Program
Icon of Christ Pantocrator, Virgin Mary.

1. Short introduction to history and styles of icon.
2.Practical introduction to drawing. Differences in between icon and portrait.
3.Drawing, designing your icon.
4.Introduction to egg tempera. Theory and exercises.
5.Transferring the design onto a wooded board. Boards will be especially made for icon.
6. Creating your icon with my guidance according to traditional techniques.
7. Especially focusing on skin tones and facial features. Working with thin layers. Dry brush.

Spirituality of the process would an important part of workshop. I will introduce orthodox music and tradition.
